Melrose is a full service interior design firm based in Charleston, South Carolina.  Founded in 2019 by veteran Charlie Collins, Melrose creates timeless interiors that align with the vernacular architectural details of the space and surrounding environment. Taking inspiration from around the world through her travels, cultural and architectural influence as well as historic preservation remain at the core of the firm’s mission.

 

Collins holds two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and The Art Institute for Interior Design.  She is recognized for her work that spans over a decade, notably alongside renowned architects and designers, Peter Pennoyer and Steven Gambrel.  Their collaborative work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor and Veranda. Additionally, Charlie managed the hospitality development of The Dunlin, an Auberge Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina led by Amanda Lindroth. 

 

Melrose provides residential and commercial services as well as architectural consultation for new construction or renovation.  In February 2024, Charlie was a featured designer at the Kips Bay Show House in Palm Beach, Florida.
